Patient Praise for new Surgical Unit at Rampwick

At Rampwick we are always keen to expand our range of services. Our new Surgical Unit in the refurbished west wing has been operating for six months. After a few initial teething problems (now being attending to be our Legal Representatives) we have had a survival rate from our operating lists as high as 65%. This is very gratifying as we are now able to offer services to clientele other than just the criminally insane.

Mr S Todd has returned from retirement after a long career extending back almost to the days of the ‘Barber Surgeons’ and has used his vast expertise to set up the new unit.

With the NHS so stretched we at Blubberhouses feel that we are in the forefront of ‘extended role hospitals’.

We are pleased to report that the seven ‘day case’ hernia patients have now been found in a padded room on the Psychoelectric Unit and have returned to the outside community. Fortunately their surgery has left them with almost total amnesia. Indeed we are considering using post operative ECT as a routine procedure to remove all memory of our patient’s painful and distressing time under surgery. The Legal Department feel this will be a most helpful technique which should greatly reduce their workload.

In conclusion we attach a letter of tribute and thanks from a grateful client of the new Surgical Unit.
